1. “Karumalan”

In English: Menstrual Period

The world is a battle field. We are all warriors. Not everyone fights. Only few will survive. And many will surrender. And you will not engage in a war with a gun but without a bullet. You will be needing something that will help you fight the obstacles that you will encounter. Fight for what you want and defend what you have. And one of the best choice of a weapon is education.

K-12 is the current issue closely related to education. It seems to be a blessing disguise as a burden to everyone. It appears as an extra baggage for all of us. But, the truth is, it`s not. It is the extension of our training ground as it shapes us to a better and well-armored warrior. It molds and prepares us for the future struggles in the real life.

Struggles in school are nothing compared to the struggles that are waiting in real life. Thinking of how you will pass the exam is nothing compared to thinking of how you will get your family to eat three times a day. Life is not about passing essays, quizzes, tests and examinations, it is how you learn and how educated you are to face life`s hurdles.

Personally, I think that education gets my chances higher to be successful in life. Being patient does not work all the time.Because no matter how industrious you are, no matter how hard you try, some will still judge you based on what degree you have finished.

So, now that I am given the opportunity to learn and go to school, there’s no wasting of chance. For this will be my stepping stone to win this battle field- life. For I am a blacksmith and education will be my sword to victory.
